TGI SUPERVISOR TYREIK TURNER RECEIVES IMPRESSION MAKERS AWARD AT PHL AIRPORT
PHILADELPHIA, September 21, 2023 – Philly Pretzel Factory Nighttime Supervisor Tyreik Turner recently received the “Impression Makers” award from Philadelphia International Airport’s (PHL) Employee Recognition Program. This award recognizes customer-facing employees who provide direct customer service to passengers.
Turner transferred to the airport store two years ago from the William H. Gray III 30th St Station Philly Pretzel Factory location. At PHL, he is known for customer-centrism, prioritizing passenger needs, teamwork, transcending expectations, proactive communication, effectiveness, respect, and integrity.
In his recommendation of Turner, Philly Pretzel Factory Senior Director of Operations Stephen “Steve” McKeon stated, “Tyreik consistently leads by example from the front lines daily. He is a hard-working family man who always shows up no matter what is asked and never turns down a challenge when presented. He has been a constant friendly face in Terminal F with a charismatic personality that people are drawn to. A few months ago, I flew into Terminal F on my way home from a business trip. I stood back and observed the genuine interactions with customers moving through the line. Almost every customer walked away with a smile or received a ’have a great night’ from Tyreik. His impact on people’s day is probably unknown to him. It’s just his nature to be ‘joe familiar’ with all the guests.”
While working with the Philly Pretzel Factory, Turner has improved his communication skills and become more observant. Turner and his coworkers are dedicated to their jobs and intrinsically work together.
“The most meaningful part of my job is interacting with people,” said Turner. “I enjoy people-watching. I enjoy hearing their stories and accents. You see something different every day, and I truly enjoy my time here.”
